I've been holding this one back for a few days to let it grow on me! I made this card Sunday afternoon for the OWH Sketch #17 and for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge to use a tree on your card.
It's a digital image from Dustin Pike at Doodle Dragon Studios, if you haven't checked out his blog and store you really should. Cute stuff! I colored it with Copic markers and air brushed the background trying to make beams from the sun in the background. I'll keep practicing! I also feel like I've been using a lot of the same colors so I wanted to try something different there too. The green panel is stamped in Memento Cocoa using a Cornish Heritage Farms Montana Tree Bark background stamp and I ran the Sorbet Ice Blue panel through the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder for a little texture.
I don't mean to complain but I just don't think it has the normal WOW factor I've grown accustomed to.
Oh ya, it's only paper, I can make another one~
I think it's very cute! AND I can see the sun rays in the background. I thought I was the only one that sat a card on my desk for days and just kept looking at it trying to decide if I like it!!! LOL. I think yours is great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling card Jan. Love the little turtle. Such great coloring. Thanks for joining in at SSC.
