Hi blog friends, I'm so excited about my card I have to share with you today!
This is an Inspired Stamps design team card, our assignment was to use one "His Little Ones" characters & one Scripture stamp.
I decided I'd like to make a flip card (my name for it), started thinking about it and my card came together in my mind so I had to see if I could figure it out. I saw this card on my friend Marilyn's blog and was intrigued.
I started by printing the digital camo papers in the sizes I'd need. The paper pack is from Sassy Designs and is a fairly large set. (As I put the link in all their paper packs are on sale for $1.00) I cut all my pieces and die cut the Sizzix Steampunk gears border die and figured out how to get my card to open and close. Since I have this wonderful camo paper I cheated on coloring my little soldier and paper pieced his cap and uniform. I colored him with Copic markers E81, E49, E47, E44, E31, E00, E000, E0000, R20, YG61. I also made an envelope liner using my Papertrey Ink envelope liner die.
Here's where the second part of our assignment come into play, the Scripture verse, for that I used the Birthday set.
I'm really excited about my card, I love the way it turned out! I'm going to write a note on the back and use it as an Any Hero card for Operation Write Home. I hope who ever receives it gets as much enjoyment out of it as I have.
Thanks for visiting my blog today -
