It's been 118 & 119 degrees the last couple of days in the little town in Arizona I live in so I thought this would be a good time for a cooler weather themed card! Maybe it will make the extreme temperatures outside today a little more bearable.
My image is a rubber stamp from Hambo Stamps called Skater Girl and the sentiment I made on my computer because she looks so happy! I colored her with Copic markers listed below, my cardstock choices are Via Vellum Cyan & Leaf Green and Copic X Press It. I added some texture with a Sizzix Snowflake embossing folder and extra snowflake at the top made with a My Favorite Things die-namics die and the banner die under the sentiment is by Papertrey Ink. I also used a 1/8" Corner Chomper to round the corners on my white panels.
Copic Markers:
Hair - W1, W3, W5, W7
Dress - YG01, YG13, YG17
Skin - E00, E01, E11, R21
Hat, Scarf, Gloves - B00, B02, B14
Skates, White Trim - YG0000
Skate Blades - C0, C1
Shadow/Background - YG0000, G0000

Jan this is super cute! Love the embossing and that pretty snowflake :)
ReplyDeleteJan this just makes me smile! I miss AZ & hate snow, but love to skate!
ReplyDeleteWhew! And I thought it was hot here in the high 90's!! We clearly don't know what heat is all about!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so cute with that image and the embossed snowflakes in the background! Stay cool if you can!

ReplyDeleteVery cute, Jan! I love that happy day sentiment - so perfect for OWH!
ReplyDeleteGreat card jan!!!. Love those embossed snowflakes and the colours you used. Fun, fun, fun!!!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, you blew me away. Everything, the embossing, the coloring, and the sentiment, are perfect! I have to admit I so don't miss Arizona heat. (It was 121 one year on our anniversary and they grounded planes at Sky Harbor.) Not helping is that summer is my least favorite season. Another reason I'm happy to be back here in the PNW with 60s and 70s.
ReplyDeleteAgain, your card is fantabulous! I learn so much from studying them; thanks for all the info!
That's warm Jan. I have friends in Kentucky and they tell me they've had well above average temperatures as well. We could do with a bit of that here in the UK and we could send rain in exchange.
ReplyDeleteA lovely clean crisp card. Thanks you so much for sharing your Crafty Passion with us at Stampalot challenge this month.
