Bug A Boo Stamps Flower Names


It's Freebie Friday at Bug A Boo Stamps Catch The Bug!

For my card I used today's free image from the Flower Names collection, the Rose.  I sized the rose to 3 inches tall and printed it with my laser printer and colored it with Copic markers R81, R83, R85, G28, G24, G21 and cut it out with a Spellbinders tag die using the out of the box technique.  Matted it with Stampin' Up! Rose Red and added three black half pearls a tab at the top and some coordinating ribbon.  My cards focal point was ready to go.  

For the body of the card I used Via Vellum Black, a scrap of Neenah Solar White that I put through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder and stamped with a Hero Arts Happy Mother's Day rubber stamp.  Added a Musical Notes embossed panel of Stampin' Up! Rose Romance matted in black and assembled everything.

    Beautiful card. I knew there was a reason why I keep all my Neenah scraps, to emboss! I just hadn't figured it out yet. :)

    Hi there Jan, first of all I just wanted to say how much I love your blgo design - the photo bit at the top is just gorgeous - I LOVE it!!!
    A great make too - love that embossed card-stock it gives it that really nice texture & the stamp & colouring is fab too. I lvoe the way you've done the writing in ;out of box' technique - a really nice detail - Those black pearls are yummy & really set it off to - Well done its FAB!!
