Cosmo Cricket DeLovely

I've been having fun mass producing some cards for Operation Write Home and I thought I'd share the fun with you today!  My first card is C.A.S.E.d from Cora Jean at Cora Jean's Paper Playtime, my sentiment was larger than I thought so it's not an exact C.A.S.E. but great inspiration from her card.

I have a paper box that I made close to my paper trimmer that I put things I've cut out but not used yet in, the hearts on this card are from that box.

Here's a picture of the beginning of my mass production of cards.  Can you see the tall turquoise box?  That's where all the pre-cut goodies live.

I opened the box and spilled out the contents so I can pick through and see what I can use today.
I have to tell you I added a couple things to the box today too!  Oops...

For my next card I C.A.S.E.d Kristie, she had a photo of a pile of cards on our Operation Write Home Facebook page where she was using up a pack of 6X6 patterned paper and I was inspired!

I started out with the same layout but my Papertrey Ink sentiment was so big I turned my card,
I kinda like it!  These two cards above use Cosmo Cricket DeLovely papers.

An Anniversary card to go in the bunch using a Papertrey Ink sentiment and rick rack die, C.A.S.E.ing a card I saw on Pinterest.  The button is a Cheery Lynn Designs die too.

...and a picture of the bunches of cards I mass produced.  If you see something on the table I didn't show today, I'll have it in another blog post soon!

Paper Smooches Circle of Honor

I have two cards to share today using the Paper Smooches Circle of Honor clear stamp set.
It looked to me like these camo hearts would fit in my Papertrey Ink Take Three die for some fun card making.  I was right they did!

These first camo hearts I colored with Copic markers:
E31, BG96, YG25, YG63, G99

I had a template in my with die for the frame so I used it, the green is Stampin' Up! Old Olive run through the Cuttlebug using the Tim Holtz Wood Grain embossing folder.  I attached everything to a white card base.

I'm still working on clean and simple cards and feel like there's LOTS of WHITE on this one!  Not sure if I like it or not...  I decided I'd like Desert Camo for my second set of hearts, they're colored with Copic markers:

E31, E18, E43, E55, E70

I used the Papertrey Ink Take Three die again and a layer of Neenah Sand and Via Vellum Black.

Both cards for Any Hero cards for Operation Write Home.

Hambo Stamps Panda Gift

I have a fun Hambo Hoedown card to share with you today!

Our digital image this week is called Panda Gift and I colored mine with Copic markers:

Panda - T0, T1, T2, T5, T7, T9
Gift - B21, B23, YG01, YG13,  YG25, YG67
Hat - YG01, YG13, B21, B23, RV55, RV66
Background/Outline - T0, T1, B0000, B01

I thought it was kind of fun to be posting a birthday card today, it's my oldest sons 23rd birthday!
He's a little old for my card but my younger kids would love Hambo's Panda bearing a gift.  I also used the sentiment "but how do you wrap a bear hug" on the inside of my card.

I hope you'll check out our Hambo Hoedown and see what everyone has made and play along in our "Anything Goes With A Hambo Stamp/Image"  challenge this week.

Stampers Best My Hero Sentiments

I used the Stampers Best My Hero Sentiment set with a sketch from Stamping Royalty and papers I found in my scrap drawer.  I wanted patriotic papers but didn't want to print any if I really didn't need to.   I searched around a little and found the stars & stripes digital paper.  The blue is a sample I won from Hero Arts called "layering papers", the red is Neenah Red Pepper Linen.  I used my neglected Spellbinders Labels 4 dies to cut out the focal sentiment.  The other sentiment is stamped repeatedly on the Red Pepper card stock, cut into a strip and punched with a square EK Success punch to make the banner tail.

I hope you'll join us for our Any Hero challenge this week at Operation Write Home Stars & Stripes!

Paper Smooches Circle of Honor

My card today is for  Operation Write Home in honor of Patriots Day, it's an Any Hero card that I will write a note inside for a Hero and add to my OWH box of cards.

I used Paper Smooches Circle of Honor clear stamp set and colored the camo hearts with Copic markers:

E31, BG96, YG67, YG25, G94

The layout is a sketch from Sandy:

My papers are Mohawk Bright White, Copic X Press It, Stampin' Up! Chocolate Chip & Artichoke, Via Vellum Leaf Green & Neenah Sand.  I added three snap top eyelets to my wide banner because they didn't look right on the other panel like in the sketch, creative license...

Be sure to check out the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps blog today, we're still celebrating our birthday so you might just find a gift or challenge or who knows?

Basic Grey Lime Rickey

I have a bright fun card to share today, it's from my stash of Anniversary cards I made awhile ago.

I used Basic Grey Lime Rickey designer papers, Spellbinders Hearts & Scalloped Hearts, Papertrey Ink's Double Ended Banner dies and a stamp from the Verve set Wishful Elegance.  The layout is inspired by a card I saw on Pintrest.

Paper Smooches Circle of Honor

I have a fun card today for our Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps sketch challenge sponsored by Paper Smooches.  This cute Eagle is from the Paper Smooches Circle of Honor clear stamp set.  When we (the OWH blog team) were asked if we'd like to make samples for this sketch I didn't have any Paper Smooches stamps so Paula stamped images from this set and mailed them to me so I could play too.  I have to tell you that I thought this was such a cute set I had to go look at their store and now have a "wish list", and um, I did buy one set called Happy Camper and I'm in love with their stamps now...

I colored this cute Eagle with Copic markers:

Y32, Y35, E40, Y00, Y000, B0000, B01

The layout is this weeks OWH sketch challenge, I also used a new banner die from Verve Visual called Pennant Trim Die, Spellbinders dies and a couple of embossing folders.   My card stock choices are Via Vellum Black, Mohawk Bright White and Astrobrights Galaxy Gold.

I hope you'll play along in our Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps sketch challenge this week!

Lawn Fawn So Thankful

I have one more Lawn Fawn card this week to share with you before we move on to our next Operation Write Home Birthday Celebration sponsor.  I used the So Thankful set several days ago for the OWH sketch #136, I wanted to use it again because Lawn Fawn has a challenge using this nice sketch pictured below.  I love coloring pumpkins and I love sketches, great combination for me!

Here's the sketch:

These are the Copic markers I used:
Pumpkin - Y15, YR02, YE07, E25 - E27, E23
Outline/Background - T0, T1, T2, B21, B34, Y15

For papers I used the Basic Grey Ambrosia paper pad and Copic X Press It.

Lawn Fawn Winter Owl

I have a Lawn Fawn card to share with you, our featured card maker on the Operation Write Home blog today is Kelly Marie Alvarez the owner of Lawn Fawn and this week's OWH birthday celebration sponsor.

I thought it would be fun to have a Lawn Fawn card on my blog today in honor of Kelly and Operation Write Home's birthday.  I'm really enjoying making cards for Operation Write Home with these cute stamps.

I colored my Winter Owl with Copic markers:

E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, Y35, BG11, BG23, BG34

A quick simple image to color and I chose a simple layout using Nut Brown as my card base, Kraft put through an embossing folder, Dark Aqua for the band of color and one of my Cheery Lynn Designs French Flair dies.  This cute clear set has a sentiment and hearts in it that I didn't use.  The sentiment says, "Owl I want for Christmas is You".  I just shipped a box of cards to OWH and I'm not sure when I'll have another box filled, I didn't want my card to be Christmas specific so I'll use the sentiment another time.

Memory Box Snowy Pine Landscape

My cards today are C.A.S.E.d  from a card maker named Donna, I saw her beautiful clean and simple card and had the same stamp and wanted to try her technique.  I must say sponging the distress ink on my card stock was a challenge because it has a coating on it.  I need to buy more Neenah Solar White card stock.  I spritzed most of these with water when I was done to try to blend it a little better.

My first card uses a scalloped border and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  I don't have a small scalloped border die but I do have several scalloped rectangle dies, I used one of those to make my border.

I thought these would be a nice mass production project and used two different sentiments, this one is also a stamp from Papertrey Ink.

My last card is the same but different,  I embossed the bottom with snowflakes.  After I'd attached the tree panel I notice my white card stock had a wrinkle in it.  I figured I had nothing to lose by embossing the bottom part to get the wrinkle out and it worked!

I ended up with a dozen mass produced cards and all but one went into my Operation Write Home box.

I have a fun Hambo Hoedown card to share today and the theme of our Hambo Hoedown is Splatter!

I had so much fun creating my splatter using three Copic marker refills Y18, YR09 & BG13 and an old toothbrush.  I also used the cute Hambo Mouse Painter digital image colored with Copic markers:

Mouse - T0, T1, T2, T3, T5, RV10
Paint Brush - E41, E42, E43
Over Alls - Y13, Y15, Y18
Shirt - BG11, BG13, BG23
Paint - YR04, YR07, YR09
Bucket - C0, C1, C2, C3
White Gel Pen

The card stock colors I chose are The Papermill Dark Aqua, Astro Brights Solar Yellow, Copic X Press It, Stampin' Up! Only Orange.  My layout is a sketch from Pals Paper Arts I saw on Pinterest.

Hambo Stamps is having a customer appreciation blog hop this month, that means you could be part of the blog hop too!  All the details are on the Hambo Hoedown blog for you to see here.

Lawn Fawn Winter Fox

My card today is for our Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Midweek Throwdown challenge, the theme is Cards For Kids + Scallops!

I used the cute Lawn Fawn stamp set called Winter Fox again in a different color using Copic markers:

Fox - E19, E09, E07
Scarf & Cup - E11, E33, R22
Coffee/Cocoa & Ground Cover - E70, E71, E74, E77
Background - B0000, B1

My card stock choices are Stampin' Up! Cameo Coral, Ruby Red & Chocolate Chip as well as Mohawk Bright White & Copic X Press It. My scallops are made with Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangles, Long Narrow Rectangles & Circles.  I added embossing for texture and a couple of brown brads because I noticed my Winter Fox wasn't centered in the middle of my card and the adhesive had dried...

The cute Love My Pony image was really fun to color with Copic markers:

Horse - E07, E08, E97, RV17, RV55
Mane - YR21, YR24, E23

Eureka Stamps Santa & Reindeer

My card is for the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Virtual Card Making Party, the challenge theme is "Represent Your State".  I thought it would be fun to use this cute Santa & Reindeer stamp from Eureka Stamps and the Saguaro Cactus from ... I can't remember the stamp company, sorry.  Greeting From Arizona was made on my computer.

The stamped image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Copic markers.

Lawn Fawn So Thankful

I have today's Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #136 done today!
That's a record for me I think, this sketch is part of the OWH Virtual Card Making Party that's going on this weekend.  The challenge is a sketch and to use your punches...

I looked at the sketch and the entries for the sketch to be inspired.  My thought was hmmm, I don't think I have anything that small to work with.  I did get the "punches" part of the challenge in by using my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper and rounding corners.  I meant to round the corners on the orange panel but had it fastened down before I remembered, oh well!

I used a cute Lawn Fawn clear stamp set called So Thankful and colored my pumpkins with Copic markers, used a Darice embossing folder for texture and put it all together.

It's time to get back to the VCMP and make some more cards!

Have a great weekend!

Lawn Fawn Winter Fox

Happy Labor Day weekend!

Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps is having a Virtual Card Making Party going on through the weekend with lots of fun challenges!  If you have time to play along you'll need to check out the OWH Stars & Stamps blog here.

I have a card for the "Use a Neglected Tool" challenge.  I used a Lawn Fawn clear stamp called Winter Fox and colored "her" with Copic markers:

Fox - C1, C3, C5
Cup - R35, R46, R59
Scarf - R46, T7
Coffee/Cocoa - E25, E27, E29
Ground - E25, E27, E29
I have a few neglected crafting tools so I used two on this card and had lots of fun.  The first neglected tool is my paper crimper pictured below:

Remember these?  Sold by Stampin' Up! way back when...

The second is my Spellbinders Labels #14 dies, I love the shape of these but don't use them very often and that needs to change.

See you at the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party!

Dee's Bugaboo Boutique & Basic Grey

My card today is for our Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Our Daily Bread Designs challenge.  The challenge is to use an Inspirational Quote or Scripture on your card. The neat thing about the challenge is Our Daily Bread Designs picks up the shipping costs for one box of OWH cards when 25 cards are entered in to the challenge - up to 2 boxes sent to our troops free each month.

My first card uses Basic Grey Marrakech papers and a free digital image from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique.  If you like Scripture Word Art you'll love visiting her blog!  I also used Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles as well as some black organdy ribbon.

I looked around for a sketch to use for this project and was thrilled to find a bunch on Pinterest.  I actually went a little crazy and mass produced several cards using different patterned papers and verses.

Here's the sketch:

My second card uses Basic Grey Lime Rickey patterned papers and another digital image from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique.

I cut out the sentiment with Cheery Lynn Designs French Flair dies and added black organdy ribbon.
I can't forget the Papertrey Ink envelope liner die.  It's a great way to dress up a card and use just a little more of that patterned paper I've been hoarding.

Verve Visual Triple Time Stamping for OWH

I have one more card ready for the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party!
This card is for challenge #4 coming from Donna Inks blog, the challenge is to use Triple Time Stamping.

Donna shows in nice detail how to do the technique.  I've seen these cards before but hadn't made an attempt to make any yet - what fun I was missing!  It took me longer to figure out what stamps I'd like to use than it did to make the card...

The stamps I used are two rubber stamps made by Inkadinkado that I've had for several years now and a new cling stamp from Verve Visual called Grace.  I don't "stamp" as much as I used to, I was hoping my neglected ink pads still had ink enough to work for me and they did.  I used Palette Jardin Moss & Raw Sienna as well as Momento Rich Cocoa.  My paper is Neenah Solar White & Stampin' Up! Chocolate Chip.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  It's business as usual at our house, husband working, kids out of school & Mom and Kids working on laundry.  I'm getting a little "me time" to play in the Operation Write Home Virtual Card Making Party challenges so I'm content.

I think it's time to clean up my mess for awhile now...

Dee's Bugaboo Boutique Word Art

Last weekend my crafty friend Sherry and I spent an evening designing and making house warming invitations for her daughter and room mate.  I took a picture of Sherry as we started out with our project.  I took pictures of the invitations too but decided not to post the actual invitation because it has more information than I think should go on the internet so I'm posting pictures of the cards I made that were inspired by the invitations.

This card uses almost the same colors as the invitations and same layout except the invitations were post cards so they were only one layer, no black matting.

I noticed after printing and trimming this sentiment it was slightly off center and I wanted to use it so this is before I added the die cut button to match the patterned paper.  You might not have noticed had I not said anything...

Here are the papers we used for the invitation.  As we were making the original invitations I was thinking this would be a great way to use up some of my patterned paper scraps.

My last card is also inspired by the invitations we made.
The beautiful word art is by Dee's Bugaboo Boutique and they were all  free.

Cosmo Cricket DeLovely Miss You

I have a simply quick bright fun card to share with you today!

I've made several of this style card using up scraps of pretty designer paper pads recently so this is just one of many.  I used scraps from the Cosmo Cricket DeLovely paper pad and my Papertrey Ink small rick rack die.  The DeLovely papers coordinate beautifully with Astrobrights Solar Yellow & Papertrey Ink Hibiscus Burst card stocks.

I also used a Papertrey Ink sentiment from the big set of Fillable Frames cut out with Spellbinders Mega Oval & Scalloped Mega Oval dies.  The hearts on the left side are from a MFT heart shaped border die.

This card is for my Operation Write Home box to help fill the need for Miss You cards.

I have a fun Hambo Hoedown card to share with you today!

If you've been playing each week you've received this cute digital stamp set in your e mail to play along in this weeks challenge - which is to use any Hambo Stamps stamp/image and torn paper.

I pictured Wee Henry breaking bricks using his awesome karate skills and knew I had the perfect Sizzix Tim Holtz embossing folder to help me pull that off.  I inked the edges of my torn paper with Copic R59, added a ribbon tag for my sentiment and black organdy ribbon to mimic Henry's black belt and headband.

I used Copic markers to color Wee Henry:

Skin - E000, E00, E11

Torn Paper - R59

Basic Grey Kioshi Papers

I've been in a mass production mode and have several cards to share with you today!

I was working on using up the 6 X 6 Basic Grey Kioshi paper pad making these.

As well as the Pink Paislee 365 Degree 6 X 6 paper pad.

All the verses are from Verve with the exception of the last one, it's from an old Stampin' Up! set I still have.

The layout is C.A.S.E.d from my friend Carol and Our Little Inspirations
