Paper Smooches My Guy

I have a fun card to share today that is part of my birthday cards for our church project I've been working on.  This cute image is a stamp from the Paper Smooches set called My Guy.  I'm hoping it's suitable for men and teen boys birthday cards.

There is also a Virtual Card Making Party going on at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps for the holiday weekend, Linda has challenged us to make cards that have something with "wheels" on it - my car is perfect for her challenge - yea!

I colored the car with Copic markers:

Hambo Stamps Reindeer Gift

Happy Saturday!
I feel a little behind from being sick last week with a flu bug and Thanksgiving is rushing towards us next week, yikes!  It seems our Arizona weather has cooled from the triple digits and all of a sudden everything is in fast forward - I suppose I'm exaggerating a little...

I have a fun card to share with you today using the Hambo Stamps Reindeer Gift and Merry On rubber stamps.  I colored the reindeer with Copic markers:

Reindeer - E42, E43, E44, RV10, N3, N5
Jacket - R35, R46, R59
Gift - G24, G28, Y00, Y04, Y15
Background/Outline - B0000, B01

For papers I used Basic Grey Jovial paper pad combined with Copic X Press It and Neenah Red Pepper Linen card stock.  I added an envelope liner to make it a little more fancy.

Dee's Bugaboo Boutique Scripture Verses

I have two cards to share today that are the same yet different.

I used a sketch I found on Pinterest that I'll add below:

This was a fun sketch to use patterned papers and a verse with!

My first card uses Cosmos Cricket Pixie-Licious papers, Spellbinders dies, a sentiment from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique and Papertrey Ink's envelope liner die.

My second card uses Basic Grey Lime Rickey papers, the envelope liner die as well as Spellbinders dies, grossgrain ribbon and a sentiment form Word Art Wednesday.

One of these went into my Operation Write Home box and the other I'll keep to send to one of my friends.

The Digi Garden Pumpkin Gal

There's a new challenge starting today at Love To Create and I get to be their guest designer!
My card is created using a cute digital image from The Digi Garden called Pumpkin Gal, the challenge theme is Fancy Edges so I used Spellbinders regular & long scalloped rectangles.  I've never purchased a small scallop border die so I use my long scalloped rectangle die when I need a border.

She is colored with Copic markers:

B21, B23, E30, E31, E33, Y32, YR09, YR15, YR21, B60, B63,
E42, E43, E44, E000, E00, E01, E11, R21

My papers are Basic Grey Marrakech, Stampin' Up! Only Orange & Ballet Blue along with X Press It.

I also added orange grossgrain ribbon and big orange brads.  There was one sheet of the Basic Grey designer paper left in the pad so I cut an envelope liner with the Papertrey Ink Envelope Liner die.

Basic Grey Bittersweet

I have another anniversary card using the Basic Grey Bittersweet paper pad,
Spellbinders Hearts & Scalloped Hearts, Papertrey Ink's Double Ended Banner dies and a stamp from the Verve set Wishful Elegance.  The layout is inspired by a card I saw on Pintrest.

Quick, fun and simple!

Hambo Stamps Just Be-Caws

I have a fun Hambo Stamps card to share with you today!
I used Hambo rubber stamps Just Be-Caws and Crows, colored them with Copic markers:

Y13, Y18, YG01, YG13, YG25, YR07, YR14, B0000, B01, E30, E31, E33, E37.

My layout is Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #406 pictured below:

I used a little creative license with the sketch - I really needed a place to put my sentiment.  The papers I used are some of my favorites from Basic Grey called Ambrosia.  The card stock is Via Vellum Black, Stampin' Up! Really Rust and Copic X Press It.  I used the largest Spellbinders Oval die I had to cut this stamped image out and matted it with a Spellbinders Large Scallop, for the circle where a sentiment might go I chose to use a button made with a Papertrey Ink button die and added a little crochet thread to it.

Will you be playing in the Hambo Hoedown this week?
Stop by and check out the new challenge here!

Basic Grey Marrakech

I have an Anniversary card to share today.

My layout is a sketch from Splitcoast Stampers that when I first saw it I wasn't sure what exactly to do with, now that I've used it I LOVE this sketch and use it as an old standby.

I used a couple of orange patterned papers from my Basic Grey Marrakech pad.  The flower is cut from the Papertrey Ink Bloom Builders #3 die and I added a rhinestone to the center.  Anniversary Wishes is an acrylic stamp from the Wishful Elegance set by Verve.  Envelope liner die by Papertrey Ink.

Dee's Bugaboo Boutique & Basic Grey

I have a couple of cards that were part of a mass production project recently.
It started as a challenge for Operation Write Home and turned into a mass production project to see how many different patterned paper packs I could use with this sketch and different quotes and verses.

My first card uses Prima Marketing's Hello Spaceboy papers, and  Dee's Bugaboo Boutique digital sentiment.  I also used Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles, bright yellow grossgrain ribbon and Papertrey Ink's envelope liner die.

My second card uses Basic Grey Offbeat papers, a Spellbinders Square die, stitched grossgrain ribbon and the envelope liner die.  The sentiment is a quote I found on Pinterest.

Hambo Stamps Harvest Bunny

We have a new Hambo Hoedown starting today!

If you played in last week's Hambo Hoedown you received this cute Harvest Bunny digital image in your e mail recently.  For more info on how to play in the Hambo Hoedown click HERE.

I colored my cute Harvest Bunny with Copic markers:

Pumpkins - Y13, YR02, YR07, E23
Stems - G21, G24, G28
Bunny - T01, T0, RV10, RV21
Background/Foreground - T0, T1, T5, B0000, B01

Our challenge this week is to follow the sketch below using a Hambo Stamps digital or rubber stamp:

I took a little "creative license" with the sketch and flipped it, kinda...

I used my favorite Basic Grey paper pack Ambrosia and was lucky enough to have a scrap of each panel and one extra sheet to make an envelope liner with my Papertrey Ink envelope liner die.

I hope you'll play along this week in our Hambo Hoedown!

Paper Smooches Zoo Crew

I have another card today for the Splitcoaststampers CAS #189 challenge.
The challenge this week it to use their clean and simple sketch.

I've been working on making more CLEAN & SIMPLE cards and thought playing in some of those type challenges would help me develop my skills.  I love how my card turned out but I have to tell you leaving it alone is so very difficult for me!

I used the Paper Smooches clear stamp set called Zoo Crew for my card.
The cute hippo is colored with Copic markers:

W1, W3, W5, RV10, RV21

She's cut out and popped up with foam tape just above the banners.

I made the banners using Basic Grey Bittersweet & Ambrosia patterned papers, the envelope liner is from the same Basic Grey Bittersweet collection and made using a Papertrey Ink envelope liner die.  To make my banner ends I used an EK Success square punch.

Attached everything to the one layer card base and stamped the "hippo hooray" sentiment.
There is a birthday sentiment on the inside, this card is ready to go into my stash of birthday cards.

Hambo Stamps Wee Henry Vampire

Welcome to our  "Broadway Bound!" blog hop sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo customers and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict Broadway show titles! It might be our favorite, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Sherry's blog you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose Broadway-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way!  Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Tuesday, September 25. We love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, September 23 at 5 PM CST. Don't miss it!

For my Broadway Bound show title I chose Dracula The Musical!

Wee Henry as Dracula was just too cute not to use today!

This digital image is really called Wee Henry Vampire, I colored him with Copic markers:

Cape - BV20, BV23, BV25
Hair - W1, W3, W5, W7
Skin - E00, E01, E11, R21
Pants & Shoes - T1, T2, T5, T7
Pumpkin - YR04, YR07

My layout is a sketch, I used Basic Grey Eerie paper, Neenah Kraft, Stampin' Up! Only Orange & Via Vellum Black along with Copic X Press It.

It's time to dance on over to Libby's blog  for another great Broadway show!

Cosmo Cricket DeLovely

I've been having fun mass producing some cards for Operation Write Home and I thought I'd share the fun with you today!  My first card is C.A.S.E.d from Cora Jean at Cora Jean's Paper Playtime, my sentiment was larger than I thought so it's not an exact C.A.S.E. but great inspiration from her card.

I have a paper box that I made close to my paper trimmer that I put things I've cut out but not used yet in, the hearts on this card are from that box.

Here's a picture of the beginning of my mass production of cards.  Can you see the tall turquoise box?  That's where all the pre-cut goodies live.

I opened the box and spilled out the contents so I can pick through and see what I can use today.
I have to tell you I added a couple things to the box today too!  Oops...

For my next card I C.A.S.E.d Kristie, she had a photo of a pile of cards on our Operation Write Home Facebook page where she was using up a pack of 6X6 patterned paper and I was inspired!

I started out with the same layout but my Papertrey Ink sentiment was so big I turned my card,
I kinda like it!  These two cards above use Cosmo Cricket DeLovely papers.

An Anniversary card to go in the bunch using a Papertrey Ink sentiment and rick rack die, C.A.S.E.ing a card I saw on Pinterest.  The button is a Cheery Lynn Designs die too.

...and a picture of the bunches of cards I mass produced.  If you see something on the table I didn't show today, I'll have it in another blog post soon!

I used Basic Grey Lime Rickey designer papers, Spellbinders Hearts & Scalloped Hearts, Papertrey Ink's Double Ended Banner dies and a stamp from the Verve set Wishful Elegance.  The layout is inspired by a card I saw on Pintrest.

Lawn Fawn So Thankful

I have one more Lawn Fawn card this week to share with you before we move on to our next Operation Write Home Birthday Celebration sponsor.  I used the So Thankful set several days ago for the OWH sketch #136, I wanted to use it again because Lawn Fawn has a challenge using this nice sketch pictured below.  I love coloring pumpkins and I love sketches, great combination for me!

Here's the sketch:

These are the Copic markers I used:
Pumpkin - Y15, YR02, YE07, E25 - E27, E23
Outline/Background - T0, T1, T2, B21, B34, Y15

For papers I used the Basic Grey Ambrosia paper pad and Copic X Press It.

Dee's Bugaboo Boutique & Basic Grey

My card today is for our Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Our Daily Bread Designs challenge.  The challenge is to use an Inspirational Quote or Scripture on your card. The neat thing about the challenge is Our Daily Bread Designs picks up the shipping costs for one box of OWH cards when 25 cards are entered in to the challenge - up to 2 boxes sent to our troops free each month.

My first card uses Basic Grey Marrakech papers and a free digital image from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique.  If you like Scripture Word Art you'll love visiting her blog!  I also used Spellbinders Circles and Scalloped Circles as well as some black organdy ribbon.

I looked around for a sketch to use for this project and was thrilled to find a bunch on Pinterest.  I actually went a little crazy and mass produced several cards using different patterned papers and verses.

Here's the sketch:

My second card uses Basic Grey Lime Rickey patterned papers and another digital image from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique.

I cut out the sentiment with Cheery Lynn Designs French Flair dies and added black organdy ribbon.
I can't forget the Papertrey Ink envelope liner die.  It's a great way to dress up a card and use just a little more of that patterned paper I've been hoarding.

Basic Grey Kioshi Papers

I've been in a mass production mode and have several cards to share with you today!

I was working on using up the 6 X 6 Basic Grey Kioshi paper pad making these.

As well as the Pink Paislee 365 Degree 6 X 6 paper pad.

All the verses are from Verve with the exception of the last one, it's from an old Stampin' Up! set I still have.

The layout is C.A.S.E.d from my friend Carol and Our Little Inspirations

A picture of all the cards for me and for Operation Write Home made during my mass production frenzy.

Penny Black Anniversary Hedgie

I found another cute image to color for an anniversary card today, this one has been waiting patiently for quite some time.  It's been so long I don't know what the official name of the stamp is, one of my stamping friends must have stamped it off for me.

I colored the cute Hedgie with Copic markers:

Hedgie - E50, E30, E31, E17, E25, RV10
Flowers - R35, R46, R59, W7
Leaves - YG01, YG13, YG25, YG67
Background - BG0000, BG000, BG01

I added some of the Earth tones back into the background because I hadn't picked papers I was going to use the image with before I colored it.  I decided on the Basic Grey Bittersweet designer paper pad for a quick easy card.  I used Papertrey Ink's Double Ended Banner Die and Small Ric Rac as well as a sentiment from their Fillable Frames acrylic stamp set.

One more anniversary card for my growing stash!
