Musical Maisy by Di's Digi Downloads

I have a fun card to share with you today that I made as a sample for our Stamps R Us Going Digital challenge that started Monday.  Our sponsor is Di's Digi Downloads, WOW does she ever have some cute images!  This little girls name is Maisy and I colored her with Copic markers B26, B24, B23, B21, C8, C6, C3, C1, C0, Coo, R27, R24, BG0000, YG11.  

Before I colored her I added in the grass and sky with clouds.  The card layout was Splitcoast Stampers SC#331 but it transformed itself into something a little different.  Here's the sketch that my card doesn't look like.

I think the problem I was having is my image is too big which is pretty normal for me.  

I used a Cuttlebug & Sizzix embossing folders and my cardstock colors are Via Vellum Brick & Black, Papertrey Ink Enchanted Evening, Stampin' Up! More Mustard and my image is printed on Neenah Solar White using an HP LaserJet printer.

Sitting Pretty By Di's Digi Downloads

I have a second blog post to squeeze in today, I've been wanting to color this adorable little girl for awhile now and share her with you.  She is a freebie at Di's Digi Downloads right now so you can have her too!

She's colored with Copic markers G28, G24, G21, G20, G40, E44, E43, E42, E41, E000, E00, E11, E31, E47, E49, E70, E71, E74, Ro2.  My layout has become an old standby and works well for showing off a great image like this one.  The green tartan plaid is digital paper from Crafty Anne's that I re colored in my Publisher program.  

Lisa has asked me to do a tutorial on re coloring digital papers and I have plans to get to that very soon.  The St. Patricks Day sentiment is an acrylic stamp by Studio G I picked up recently at The Sugar Shack in Lake Havasu City.

C.A.S.E.ing The Spotted Chick

I'm back with another card using patterned paper by Basic Grey Granola.  In this case I C.A.S.E.d Jeanie over at The Spotted Chick.  She made the cutest Mother's Day card and her sketch layout really intrigued me so I had to try it. 

This cute image is from Di's Digi Downloads that I colored with Copic markers and instead of air brushing the background I added a Cool Gray outline around almost all of it.  Have you noticed I seem to be into square cards right now?  If it lasts too much longer I'll have to start making my own envelopes, hey...  what a good way to use up some of that patterned paper that's been around such a long time!
