A Good Update On Maxine Parvo Day 3

My picture of Maxine today is from mid February, she likes to sleep with our daughter sometimes.

And now for our after church update:

Carolyn from the animal hospital called about 9 AM, she said Maxine had more energy today with a laugh.  The good report is she hasn't vomited for 48 hours now and hasn't had any of the expected dreaded diarrhea but has been very gassie.  I'm not sure who to feel sorry for there...

They've been offering her food and water but she hasn't eaten or drank anything yet, they'll keep trying to get her to eat today and see how it goes.  If she will eat she can come home tomorrow afternoon, if not she'll stay till she starts eating again.

It sounds like the worst is over and we can't wait to see her again and have her home with us.  The prayer request today is that Maxine feels good enough to eat and drink so she can come home soon.

I love these cute photos you're sharing with us.........a dog is clearly SO much more than just a pet!! I'm glad to hear she's doing better, and hopefully it won't be long before she's back home again and back to her old self!
I love the card on the previous post! The embossing looks wonderful and what a fun little image!!

Jan,

I am so happy to hear that Maxine has more energy and stop the vomiting. That is good news. You may want to make a 'Sorry for the Gas' card for the vets staff...LOL That is so funny!! Poor little Sweetie Maxine!

I wanted to let you know that I love the pictures of your daughter and Maxine sleeping. How absolutely adorable!! My Jake sleeps in my bed with me just like that. Always has to be touching and sometimes I nearly am pushed out of my own queen sized bed by a 15 pound Mini Schnauzer/Westie mix! LOL

I am keep Maxine in my prayers and your family with the hopes that she will begin to eat and come home where she belongs!

*Hugs*
