Delicious Doodles Vintage Norton

Two blog posts and two masculine cards in one day, wow!

My card is for our Seems A Little Sketchy #10 challenge that starts today sponsored by Delicious Doodles!
We were able to choose images from Delicious Doodles for our sample cards, when I saw this motorcycle I knew it would be perfect, I flipped and slightly reversed the sketch so hopefully it's still recognizable!

I'd been thinking about stamping "DAD" on the top of the red panel so it could be a Father's Day card but chickened out for awhile.  If it's not straight I'll have ruined my card.  I'm not the stamper I used to be, I've been spoiled by digital images, lol.  After my card was finished and sat for a few days I decided to get on my computer and print "Dad" in capital letters on red paper and see what it looked like.  I carefully trimmed the red piece to fit over the strip that is already there and secured it with adhesive.  I like it!

Be sure to check out our Seems A Little Sketchy challenge blog for all the wonderful inspiration from our design team!

Jan, Both this card and the one before this one are fabulous guy cards. Your coloring just amazes me every time I look at one of your cards. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration.

I really like this Jan. The background texture is perfect, and the graphic-ness is so manly. And I REALLY understand the reluctance to stamp on a finished card! Printing out a sentiment is a great alternative!

Great image with a wonderful embossed background. Admire how you have resisted the urge to add colour/ink to the embossed background...as it works perfectly. Thank you for joining us at Make My Monday. Suzanne :)
