Bug A Boo Stamps Bobble Head Kids Angel

Tuesday is new release day at Bug A Boo Stamps and I get to play!

I must warn you... this week is going to be a "Bug A Boo Stamps" kinda week for my blog.  You'll be seeing New Release Tuesday, Tutorial Wednesday, Oldie But Goodie Thursday & the new challenge on Saturday.  I had so much fun coloring Jodie's images and making cards for these events, I hope you'll enjoy all the cuteness to come.

I'm using one of the new release images on my card today, she's a Bobble Head Kids Angel, isn't she cute?!  She's colored with Copic markers:  Hair E18, E09, YR09, YR07, YR04, Skin E00, E000, E11, Cheeks R02, Eyes G28, G24, G20, Dress B95, B93, B12, Hearts R39, R34, R37, Wings B0000.

I don't always know what colors to use when I'm coloring so I started with her hair, something in red... red hair runs in our family so I'm kind of partial to it.  After coloring her hair I decided red heads look good in blue so that's how I got there and the heart needed to show up, I thought a deeper red for that.  The heart doesn't pop quite the way I'd like it to so I used glossy accents on it.  I also used glossy accents on her eyes, I LOVE those big expressive eyes!  A little Stickles Ice on her wings after I colored them and my angel was finished.

Don't laugh when I tell you what cardstock colors I used, okay?  I opened my file drawer to see what colors would look good with her.  I pulled out Stampin' Up! Brocade Blue, Really Rust & Baroque Burgundy and she's printed on Neenah Solar White.  I also used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Sizzix Hearts embossing folders and the sentiment is from a Verve stamp set.

Challenges:
Stamps R Us - For The Girls
Paper Playtime - Anything Goes With A Digital Image
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Girlie Girl
