Welcome to our Operation Write Home Independence Day blog skip, we're partnering with Tombow today! If you've arrived here from our Operation Write Home blog you're headed in the right direction!
I have two cards using the same layout today, I thought this first one was kind of busy so I wanted to try a second digital paper pack I had. This is from a digital scrap booking kit called Freedom Ain't Free I found online at Summertime Designs.
The Tombow products I have are perfect for this card! I love to pop up the main focal point on my cards so the Tombow Power Adhesive Tabs were perfect for that, to help hold the ribbon in place I added just a dab of the Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue and assembled my card using their Tape Runner.
My second card uses the Independence digital paper pack by Sassy Designs, (I checked my link and found they are having a sale - .40 cents for their paper packs!) it's a little easier to see the design elements on this card. Again I used my Tombow products to put it all together.
Thanks for visiting my blog today, your next stop on our blog skip is Debbie at the Paper Garden - enjoy your holiday!

I like both versions Jan and I think it's fun to see how changing papers can really change the look of a design. Happy 4th of July!
The stars kook like fireworks and I love them in your first card! Great sentiments, of course!
Love the sentiment and the two versions.
Thank you
Great cards.
Your cards are beautiful. The second one is my favorite. I really like the dark matting; it helps the sentiment stand out.
Hi Jan- both cards are great- I like the busy-ness of the first one- lots to keep my interest! The sentiment is oh so true and I love all of your paper selections!
Love your cards! Fun design and great use of pattern paper.
Thanks for sharing.
Super cute ideas….I'm married to an active duty Airman and have recieved cards from OWH from him while deployed….maybe I can do the same for others now!
These cards are both darling, Jan! What cute papers! Thanks so much for participating in our skip today!
Wonderful! I have not used digital papers before so thank you for showing it works well. :)
I like both cards. The first one does look busy, but it works well! I like that you use a scripture on your page!
Your patriotic cards are super wonderful. Love that sentiment especially.
Great designs! I haven't ever worked with digital papers. Maybe it's time to try!
I love that saying. I like the second better than the first (I agree with the busy), but both are great.
Like the 'busy' one as know I know mine are okay too - thanks!

I agree that first csrd is mighty busy, but the second one is more your CAS style and so eye catching. Thanks for all you do for OWH.
Love both the cards but like the less busy one the best. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your cards. The second one is my fave because of the quaint star pattern on the card. The digi paper has style! :-)
I also like the way you used the dimensional Tombow adhesive to make the cut-out stand out. Great idea!
Patriotic and fun!
The cards are Terrific! I love all the Star circles on the top one -- so fun! I love that little cow poke in the previous post too :)
It wouldn't be an OWH event without you, and you didn't dissapoint me (as if that were possible!). Your creations are always so wonderful. I love to see you go out of your comfort zone, and you did a wonderful job of going big and bold on these. I love your cards mainly because you don't use tons of embellishments that overpower the focal point.
I also love using the Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue for my ribbon and other goodies on my cards. It does the job...just like our Heroes!
The cards are terrific, Love both of them.
Love the cards, especially the second one. Where did you get that great stamp? I love the font as well as the message!
Love the ribbon use, have to try that ribbon set-up.
Great cards! Love the design and layers! TFS Have a blessed 4th!
