Happy Armed Forces Day & a OWH Lightning Challenge

I wasn't planning a blog post today but as I was having my coffee this morning I noticed a challenge at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps blog I had to check out.  The challenge is good till midnight tonight.  Talk about creating a sense of urgency!

Did you notice where I have my morning coffee?  I have a bunch of blogs on my Google home page so I can check in and see what's happening at my favorite places.  Something else caught my eye, did they say use stars, they did say the colors to use were red, white, blue and kraft at Just Us Girls #33, hmm.  And didn't I see a sketch last night at Just Christmas & Birthday Cards that I can't get out of my mind?  It only took a moment for all of this to come together in my mind.  I had to make the card...

Am I the only one who has this happen?  I feel this creative frenzy going on inside of me that I have to do something with, I need to get it out of my mind and made out of paper.

I really enjoyed making this card today!  It will qualify for the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Any Hero challenge, the Just Christmas & Birthday Cards sketch challenge and the Just Us Girls Color Challenge #33 - and I wasn't going to do a blog post today!

Have a nice weekend~
