I hope you are having a good day, it felt good to "work" today. I've had some art work go through my mind the last few days, I think I might be returning to normal again!
How about this card I made today? I like it - getting everything straight was a challenge!
I used Verve Visual's Serenity set for today's challenge with some left over paper from Cindy's altered file folder project from yesterday. It didn't look right square so I made an A6 size card instead, I added some Dew Drops and thought it still needed something so I made a flower to match by coloring a white Prima using a Rose Red ink pad and a smaller yellow Prima with a Summer Sun ink pad. I like the Build A Brads, it was a nice way to finish the flower and tie it all together.
I also finished up several Nugget tins I'm giving for Valentine's Day. I had all my wrappers stamped and the candies wrapped and was waiting for the tins to arrive. I thought it was the safest thing to do for me and the candy during the delay.
This Nugget Tin was a "I wonder what will happen if I..." use a background stamp on that sheet of return address labels? So I tried it with the CHF Diamond Plate backgrounder, it works very well! I also have a Sizzix Diamond Plate embossing folder that I used on the belly band and thought it coordinated well.
This next one is for my friend who keeps eating my green M&M's while babysitting my children! I used a Sizzix die for the heart shapes, Stampin' Up! Word Window punch and a Spellbinder Nestabilities die for the scallops around the little card.

That's what it said on the Green M&M's wrapper, it was too cute not to use!
This last one has chocolate covered almonds in it, my friend Gina's favorite. She has the matching pink card with Gina K's cute hippo on it from a previous post.
I've used this Hearts background stamp on several projects lately, it's made by Stamp Oasis and I have it cleaned and put away again for another year.
I love the colors she used for her card and the layout is very cool. I want to know if the verse on the card front is a stamp and where it came from, I like it.
My next card we C.A.S.E.d from the Verve Visual gallery, it's by Shannon Teubner. I had girlfriends over stamping yesterday, Susan needed a graduation card for her son and we thought the Verve Seeing Stars set would be appropriate, their last name is Starr.
Then we needed to play with my new Cuttlebug Build A Flower thingie. It's a die with two petals and two circles on it and four little embossing folders to match. We discovered when you get the petals cut out and arranged into a flower it's really BIG! I like making A6 sized cards so that helps a little. Maybe it's for scrapbooking?
We had fun with it anyway...

This stamp set is a Stampin' Up! level one hostess set called A Little Bit Of Happiness. I can't remember a time when I've had more fun with a hostess set! How cool is that?! 
After I finished that card I had to try another one of the stamps in that set with the sketch challenge. The I Miss You stamp is by Stampin' Up! and retired. I can't seem to keep up anymore with what's retired and what's not, I'm going to enjoy my stamps and not worry about it.
The cardstock colors are White, Pretty In Pink, Elegant Eggplant, Black and Certainly Celery. I used the double photo corner punch on this one to give the last panel a little more definition. I also used the Cuttlebug Script embossing folder and had lots of fun with the Dew Drops this time.
For this next one I got into my scrap box. With Gratitude is actually two Papertrey INK stamps from their Spiral Boquet set. 
And of course I couldn't forget Valentine's Day is just a few days away. I made a special order card in purple similar to this today too.

This is my entry for the Scripture Chicks card challenge. Each morning I get an e mail devotional from Heartlight, this particular verse, prayer and thought really resonated with me that day so I did what I always do when that happens. I make something fun with it that I can keep to look back at another time. 
So anyway, I bought myself a new Celebrate Recovery bible and had this wild urge to alter it... 
I really only made a cover for it. It's a soft cover book that has a nice cover but I just had to add my own personal touch to it I guess. "grin" I used two sheets of Stampin' Up! Berry Bliss double sided paper for the cover.
My card today is one I made a few weeks ago, an expirament to see if I could make a double gate fold like I saw on someone's blog. She found the measurements on her Scor Pal package. I'm sorry I don't remember now who I C.A.S.E.d that day but I like the results! 
I thought SC161 would be perfect for this technique too so I put them together. I used Stampin' Up!s Berry Bliss double sided paper for this card along with Pretty in Pink and Nut Brown card stock. The stamp is made by The Angel Company. I used my Build A Brad finally, I have a new 1/2" circle punch now and the ink is Basic Brown.
We also made it out to an off road race this weekend with friends. It was the Parker 450, an event that happens each year here usually in January. We had a spot right next to the race course. It was pretty exciting, the cars and trucks looked like they were coming right at us at times and would occasionally throw dirt up on us. The kids enjoyed all the dirt!
My last picture is of my kids on a little train that was at the Potpourri this weekend, another annual event in Parker. I was out and about more this weekend than I usually am so I thought I'd show some pictures of what was happening around town. 
I pictured them in my mind a little more like this!
A friend of mine called Monday and asked if I could make a mini album for her that she was going to give as a gift. She needs it this coming Sunday. I said sure, I can do that! I put her to work gathering pictures and I took off for Lake Havasu to go shopping, we were in need of a few things from WalMart.
Do you remember the movie Forrest Gump? I saw it with my Mom and Dad in Laughlin Nevada on their 50th wedding anniversary back in 1990something (1996). I kept thinking about what he said in the movie while I was making this - Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get...
A little bit about my project now - I used 12 x 12 sheets of kraft cardstock for the accordian fold pages of the mini album. I cut them to fit the box and scored each fold and used double faced scotch tape to put them together. 
I covered the outside of the candy box with some designer paper from my stash. It's made by Petals & Possibilities and called All Boy. I then used the brayer to color the chipboard monogram initials with Bayou Blue ink by Stampin' Up!, I stuck them to the box with glue dots and added dew drops to each letter and used a strip of Bayou Blue stitched ribbon to finish it off.
And now the giraffe... The next 2 cards are basically the same but I had to try it in pink too, it's a sketch challenge from Lauren Meader's blog.
The card base is Stampin' Up! Creamy Carmel, I used Nut Brown as an accent with the Real Red and Pixie Pink. I colored these with Copic Markers, the Happy Valentine's Day is a Hero Arts stamp, Heart Background by Stamp Oasis, Circle punches, Stampin' Up!s scalloped circle and some Brown grossgrain ribbon. And of course a little glitter pen on her eyelashes. 
It's been a good day stamping, hope yours was too!
The image on these cards is a drawing by Bob Karns that he drew for our Thursday Morning Women's Ministry cook book last year. I have the scanned copy from making note cards for our group to sell. I added Welcome and the name of the church and adjusted the size to fit my needs and printed them out on some left over linen text paper. 
The images are matted on black and then the same color as the side panel, I used the Stampin' Up! photo corners punch and put the larger corners under the left side of the focal image to give it some pop and added a small photo corner and a brad or eyelet. In two out of three of these I added a black strip of paper toward the bottom to cover where the background stamp didn't quite meet the second time I stamped it. These needed to be 5"x7" and the background stamps aren't that long. 
The background stamps I used are each made by Stampin' Up!, Weathered BG and Antique Lace.
I made the card late last night after the last class. Andrea Walford made a stunning card that I C.A.S.E.d here. I didn't have the stamp set she used so I used my Sizzix to cut out the Pretty In Pink hearts and inked up my SU Paisley background stamp with Real Red to stamp them. It seemed easier than using a heart stamp and cutting it out, I know I'm lazy! The oval and scalloped oval shapes are Spellbinders Nestabilities dies. The Valentine stamp is from a Verve Visual set called Wild Thing. 
I'm using my PAPERTREYink. Sweet Love and Spiral Bouquet sets tomorrow. I have some of the new Verve Visual Valentine sets right now too I can't wait to play with.
This card uses the MFT digital paper with the Sweet Love set and a Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped Oval.

My box isn't real fancy, I suppose I could add more later if I have more ideas for it. I covered it in paper by American Traditional Designs called Then & Now and the top is covered in Nut Brown card stock. I stamped one of my favorite bible verse stamps on a scrap of white paper and cut it out with my Spellbinders Nestabilities Oval and a scalloped oval in Nut Brown again, a strip of Organdy ribbon around the top and I was done. 
My first challenge card is actually a card front because it's for me to put in my little box. It's a prayer that my Pastor used yesterday in his sermon that had a lot of meaning to I think all of us in attendance. He told us he feels God is calling him to a new ministry after 20 years at Christ's Church on the River and will be leaving us soon. It's a sad yet very exciting time. Sad to see a dear friend move away, exciting to see what will happen in his life and our lives as our church goes through the transition period into a new adventure. 
My first card is Ollie the pirate, I colored him with my Copic markers. I used the clear Copic Spica Glitter marker on his sword after coloring it with Neutral Gray. I used Stampin' Up! Sarah retired designer paper. I'm working on using my paper and having fun with it.
For my second card with Ollie & Olivia I used the scraps again from my friends' mini ablums. That paper is all gone now and I finished his project today. The Modge Podge is drying on the last tin and I need to put the hardware back on it and it's deliverable.
