Bridal Shower Weekend!

It's a crazy weekend around here. My friend Melissa's bridal shower is on Sunday afternoon! I've been busy finishing up card orders. I've had lots of last minute requests for cards and gift certificates for her shower. She's hired me to make her wedding album and I've offered gift certificates to help her with the cost of it. I've had a few takers I'm happy to say. It's good for me and good for our bride too!

My card pictured here is for church tomorrow. I was asked to make a BIG card that everyone could sign and leave a note if they wanted.

I wasn't sure what to make considering the size. That wonderful big ladybug from Little Lady came to my mind! Oh ya, that'll work great!

And this weeks Split Coast Stampers Sketch Challenge, oh ya, this could work! I discovered I had one sheet of black card stock left today ~ not good news! That's okay I know where to get more...

I stamped the red part of the ladybug with Brilliance Rocket Red, the black parts with Palette Noir Black. The real red card stock is stamped with the polka dots from Stampin' Up! Polka Dot & Paisley stamp set in Noir Black too. I used my Sizzix corner die to make the photo corner and added a Red brad to it.

On the inside of the card I did a little decorating too. I added a bible verse - Numbers 6:24-25, and the smaller ladybug with a trail behind it.

Another friend called yesterday and ordered 3 thank you cards for our local law enforcement and fire department to thank them for helping with the graduation festivities at the high school.

I've been doing this for about 3 years now and my little card making/scrapbooking business is starting to take off. It's exciting!
