Clear Dollar Stamps Snowman Cheer

Just a few more days until Christmas so I thought I'd share one more Christmas card before the season is over.  This cute little snowman is a pre-colored digital image by Clear Dollar Stamps and is actually a freebie this month for the Clearly Inspired Challenge here. 

I made a very simple layout using White cardstock and the blue gingham digital paper that comes with the snowman as well as a little Neenah Red Linen for the ric rak and the accent under the Spellbinders tag die.  The other dies I used are made by Spellbinders and MFT Stamps dienamics, the sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set.  

We have two excited kids out of school this week so my blog posts until the end of the year will most likely be quick!

Bug A Boo Stamps Challenge

It's challenge day at Bug A Boo Stamps Catch The Bug, today's challenge is all about food at Christmas time!

I made an easel card with a recipe for "Grandma's Gingerbread Christmas Cookies".  The cute gingerbread girl is from Bug A Boo Stamps  November Digi Stamp Club pack, she's colored with Copic markers E41, E42, E43, C1, C00, R22, R24, R27 cut out & matted with Spellbinders circles and scalloped circles dies.  

The papers are a kraft I found in my stash that's a warmer tone than anything else I have.  The red gingham was a scrap of digital paper that was left over from another card, the red and white are both by Neenah.  The sentiment and "pull" are computer generated and the recipe is not from my Grandma, it's from an online recipe site.

I used the tab punch from Stampin' Up! and the buttons are by Basic Grey with crochet thread tied in bows.

One last photo of the cookie recipe.  I think the kids and I should try these!  They are out of school on Christmas break for two weeks now. So, if you don't see me posting on my blog quite as much in that time you'll know why.

Michelle Perkett Studio Holiday Blog Hop

What a fun little image to color Missy is!  I colored her with Copic markers and glittered her wings with a Copic Spica glitter pen to made a quick card for you to see.  

I also have a tag to share using Michelle's Polar Bear Pup.  I needed a tag for a gift for my two kids.  I think they'll like the tag and the gift!

Bug A Boo Stamps Sock Monkey

Today is Oldie But Goodie Day at Bug A Boo Stamps Catch The Bug challenge blog.  I chose the Sock Monkey for my card.  I found him in the design team stash of images in a pre-colored version so I thought I'd take advantage of that little luxury at this time of year!  I'm pretty sure you all know how much I love to color using my Copic markers but I need to do our Christmas shopping and maybe some baking too just like you!  

I also love digital images and had the idea to crop the flower beside the sock monkey out so I could use it to make my own background paper for my card.  The other papers are Basic Black, Neenah Solar White, Red Linen and Stampin' Up! Yo Yo Yellow.  My accessories are Spellbinders oval dies, Stampin' Up! Word Window punch, Yo Yo Yellow eyelets (my last 2!) and a "love you" stamp from Flourishes.

With digital images it's very easy to re-size your images to fit where you'd like them to on your card, my idea was to "flip" the original mouse digital image so both of the mice on my card were looking at that delicious hunk of cheese!  I couldn't remember how to flip an image so I had to "google" what I wanted to do in my Publisher program to flip the image and it worked!

Bug A Boo Stamps Christmas Brats New Release

This is my second post today, I couldn't help myself I was inspired by this new release set at Bug A Boo Stamps called Christmas Brats.  There are three images and I just had to play with them and try to merge them with my Microsoft Publisher program.  I knew it would work I just didn't know it was going to be so easy.  I used the png files with the transparent backgrounds and...  I know I'm a geeek.  

After printing this cute image I colored it with Copic makers R22, R24, R27, R02, YG11, YG13, YG17, E00, E000, E31, E33, E34, Y32, C1, C00, W1, cut it out and matted it using Spellbinder's Octagon and scalloped octagon dies then had to come up with a layout.  I was thinking about  a candy cane stripe, printed digital paper with a candy cane stripe and set it aside.  Hmmm...  

Instead I went with layers of red and white using Neenah Solar White and Red Linen and embossed the white layers with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Sizzix Snowflakes embossing folders and layered them on my card base.  The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set stamped in Palette Pure Poppy ink.

Michelle Perkett Studio Christmas Blessings Angel

I haven't posted anything for a few days and it feels kind of strange to me not to have something everyday here for you.  I have been busy make cards though I just haven't been able to show you everything I've been working on, soon!

My card today is made with Christmas Blessings Angel from Michelle Perkett Studio.  I colored her with Copic markers R22, R24, R27, G21, G24, B0000, R37, Coo, E00, E000, E44, E47, E49, E31, Y0000.  She's printed at almost 4 1/2 inches tall so I kept the card layout simple to show her off.  She also comes with a sentiment above her that I used my photo editing software to crop then I had just the angel.  I didn't use any Spellbinders dies today but did use an old Stampin' Up! corner punch and my favorite Cuttlebug embossing folders Swirls and Swiss Dots as well as four red rhinestones to the corners to finish it off.

Michelle Perkett Studio Buddy The Christmas Pup

And a cat in the Christmas tree...

I was working away on my card today when I heard jingle bells and rustling in the Christmas tree, I knew who it was and thought she was under it playing with the ornaments.  This is what I saw when I looked her way...  I was wrong, lol, she was inside it playing with the ornaments! 

And here's what I was working on when the entertainment started.  

This is one of my favorite digital images from Michelle Perkett Studios, I love Michelle's animals, oh lets face it, I love all of Michelle's images!   This one is called Buddy The Christmas Pup and is colored with Copic markers B21, B23, E41, E42, E43, C00.  The layout is Splitcoast Stampers SC296, I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Snowflakes embossing folders, the MFT Stamps snowflakes die and some black half pearls.

Bug A Boo Stamps Winter Wonderland

My card today is for the challenge at the Bug A Boo Stamps challenge blog Catch The Bug.  The challenge theme is "Winter Wonderland".  

I used the penguin from my December digi club pack, isn't he cute?!  He's colored with Copic markers T1, T2, T3, T5, Y13, Y15, Y18, R24, R27, cut out with Spellbinder's Nesties circle and pinking circle.  I used the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder and my Scor-Pal for embossing, the "winter wishes" is from a Papertrey Ink set, the black dots are from my stash and the snowflakes are a really old punch.  I colored 2 clear rhinestones with a Copic Y18 marker to match the pengiun and Stampin' Up! Summer Sun cardstock.  My layout is a sketch from A Crafty Little Place.

Bug A Boo Stamps Ribbon Bunny

 Oldie But Goodie Thursdays at Catch The Bug!

My card today is for "Oldie But Goodie Thursday" 

at the Catch The Bug Challenge Blog.  Each Thursday our 

Bug A Boo Stamps design team re-visits some of Jodie's 

previously released digital images.  

I used one of the breast cancer awareness bunnies that was a pre-colored freebie (?) back in October.  There's an entire set of these cute bunnies and bears available at the Bug A Boo Stamps online store.  They are no long available pre-colored but I'm sure that won't be a problem!  

The layout for my card is sketch #46 at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps turned on it's side just like Sue's sample.  The patterned paper on the card and the envelope liner is from the Basic Grey Bittersweet paper pad I've been hoarding.  The cardstock colors I used are Carnival White, Stampin' Up! Rose Romance & Pretty in Pink.  Sizzix large dots embossing folder, Stampin' Up! French Script background stamp embossed with Stampin' Up! White embossing powder and a couple of Basic Grey buttons with little bows made with crochet thread.

Here's a photo of one of my card making helpers, she decided to lay down on my paper cutter as I was using it.  You can see my husband sitting in the living room in the mirror too.

Doodle Pantry Designs Christmas Blessings

I have a couple of Christmas cards to share with you today that use pre-colored digital images from The Doodle Pantry.  Laurie Wilson is the artist behind The Doodle Pantry, when I saw this set I knew it would be perfect for our Christmas cards at church.  The image was a line drawing and I could see baby Jesus blanket colored in a deep rich burgundy color.  Being the busy time of year that it is I took a chance and asked Laurie if she'd make this set into a pre-colored digital stamp set as well and she said she'd been thinking about it. 

I lucked out, Laurie colored these beautiful line drawings and I even got one in that deep burgundy I was day dreaming about for the cards for the church.  Thank you Laurie!!!  Monday my husband and I mass produced 80 Christmas cards very similar to the one above for our church and delivered them Tuesday morning.  Whew!   I'm a little behind on my design team projects, hopefully I'll catch up soon!

My second card was in the bunch I took for our Pastor to chose from, it uses the white pre-colored image.  He and his wife chose the deep burgundy colored one that I liked!

We've also been painting and updating our 10 year old daughters room for her so I'm distracted by that too.  I had to stop this morning and help my husband build a closet organizer for her.  He didn't need my help but I couldn't help myself...  I had to go in there and help put it together with him, I like to make stuff - lol.   

Oh!  We have a new Midweek Throwdown Challenge today at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps, "Getting Creative With Ribbon".  Cynthia made our sample cards and they are awesome!

Clear Dollar Stamps Manger Lamb

I've been working on Christmas cards using Clear Dollar Stamps pre-colored images today, this set is called Manger Lamb and comes as a pre-colored digital image as well as the line drawing to color.  

I used the same image with the second card trying for a quick and easy project that could be mass produced.

This last card is what I would consider a "print job".  I copied and pasted the digital image into my Microsoft Publisher program, added the bible verse and a line around everything and printed.

I think the pre-colored digital images are so versatile, especially at this time of year!  I hope you enjoyed seeing how you can use those pre-colored digital images and make them simple or dress them up.

Winter Goddess by Michelle Perkett Studio

Welcome to my second blog post for today, it looks like December is going to be a busy month!  I was feeling a little overwhelmed December 1st thinking about all the things I need and want to do this month, then decided I shouldn't stress out I should dive in and enjoy myself!  So there you go... my plan!

For my card today I used the Michelle Perkett Studio Winter Goddess digital image and colored her with Copic markers R22, R24, R27, R29, E00, E000, YG11, E30, E25, E59, E49 and a clear Copic Spica glitter pen.  I cut her out with a Spellbinder's square die and matted her on an eyelet square that's also a Spellbinder's die.  The Cuttlebug embossing folders I used are Snowflakes and Swiss Dots, the "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set and the snowflake is that MFT Stamps Die-namics snowflake die and some red rhinestones I bought at Michael's the last time I visited them.

Bug A Boo Stamps Anything Goes Challenge

Clearly Inspired Challenge Snowman Cheer

I seem to have a thing for snowmen lately and I have another cute one for you today!

It's time again for the Clearly Inspired Challenge over at Laurie's Clearly Delightful blog.  This pre colored digital image is from Clear Dollar Stamps and also comes with the sentiment I used on my card.  It's the freebie for the challenge too!  

The Clearly Inspired Challenge is a color challenge using 3 shades of blue with black or white as your neutral - possibly a winter theme?  Sounded like fun to me!  I used the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder along with the Sizzix Large Dots embossing folder and those fun snowflake and ric rac dies I have with white half pearls.

This Bug A Boo Stamps digital image is called KPT Hat Boy, he's colored with Copic makers Y13, Y15, Y18, Y19, B91, B93, B95, YR00, E000, E00, C00, R02, R37, R22, R46, R59, E59, E44, E37 and I "enhanced" the Dew Drops with B99 before I attached them to the stars.  I was thinking of my oldest son while I was coloring him so he had to have red hair!  I used Spellbinder's circle  and pinking circles dies as well as an old star punch and a Cuttleug Stars embossing folder.  The "happy birthday" sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set.

This is my second post today and I don't have a card to share but I thought you might like to see the Bug A Boo Stamps December Digi Club images that are on sale now! 

Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Challenge

My card today is for the Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown Challenge that starts today,  

the challenge is to use an animal on your card.  

This "animal" was made using a Cricket machine, one of my stamping friends gave me several of these cute animals she'd cut out and put together.  I thought they'd make some fun kids birthday cards and be great for this challenge too.

Encore Presentation Michelle Perkett Studio Flying Birthday Girl

My card today is an "encore presentation" from July - the definition:  We are re-visiting a card I made back in July using a Michelle Perkett Studio digital image.   Our Thanksgiving holiday weekend was filled with family and friends and not much creating time so that's the reason for my "rerun".   I hope you don't mind!

This cute little flying birthday girl was fun to color with Copic markers, is printed on cream cardstock, I then  realized my plan for the clouds wouldn't work with cream card stock so I re printed my image on white and paper pieced the clouds so I could flick some color onto the bottoms of the clouds with Copic markers to make them more realistic.

The scalloped frame is two Spellbinders dies and I used Cuttlebug embossing folders to add more polka dots and swirls to the background papers.  I added three flowers in the top left corner and a touched up (with my Copic marker) Dew Drop to the center of each flower and two more touched up brown Dew Drops on the panel at the bottom.  The dotted organdy ribbon is to cover a little tiny boo boo and last of all I stamped "make a wish" from one of my Papertrey Ink stamp sets.

Stamps R Us Holiday Card Challenge

On to my card, this is one of the November Stamp Club images, I colored with Copic markers T1, T2, T3, R22, R24, 27, Y15, Y18, E40, E41, it's cut out with a Spellbinder's Oval and matted with the Oval Scalloped dies.  The white panel is embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder and the Stampin' Up! Cameo Coral panel is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The snowflake is from the MFT Stamps Die-namics Snowflakes die, I added a black rhinestone to the center and the "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set.

For my Christmas card today I C. A.S.E.d Joanne, The Inky Ocean Gazer because I love her style, she makes beautiful cards, the sketch, the texture and I'm just a fan of hers! 

The cute little snowman is by Michelle Perkett Studio called Twinkle and is a freebie at Crafters Digital Art Center for the members of her group there.    Twinkle is colored with Copic markers B21, B24, B28, R22, R24, Y32, Y35, C6, C3, G0000.  I trimmed around him with my paper cutter as close as possible, rounded the corners and matted each layer with Basic Black.  The white card stock is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder, the next panel is Stampin' Up! Brilliant Blue embossed with the Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder.  I also used two dies from My Favorite Things Stamps for the snowflakes and extra large ric rac in Stampin' Up! Brocade Blue.   I added a white half pearl to the smaller snowflake and the sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink acrylic stamp set.

More Kids Birthday Cards

Is anyone home blog browsing today or is everyone out on the busiest Christmas shopping day of the year?!  I hope you had a really nice Thanksgiving holiday with your families, we had a nice day here.

My cards today are from a batch of birthday cards I made for the kids at our church.  They are the same yet different but only slightly.  

The cute monkey's were given to me by one of my stamping friends who made them with her Cricket machine.  I made up cards to use them on with one of the Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps sketch challenges from last month.
